Golden Everlasting Daisy Chrysanthemum Tea (Xerochrysum Bracteatum)
Xerochrysum bracteatum, commonly known as the golden everlasting, also known as Bracteantha bracteata, Helichrysum bracteatum and Strawflower, is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae native to Australia. The species name bracteatum is Latin, and refers to the papery bracts (often mistakenly called petals) of the flower heads.
The golden everlasting serves as food for various larvae of lepidopterans (butterflies and moths), and adult butterflies, hoverflies, native bees, small beetles and grasshoppers visit the flower heads.
Chrysanthemum tea is one of China’s most popular Herbal teas. This tea is well-known for its cooling properties that help to decrease body heat and is recommended for those with fever, sore throat, and other heat-related illnesses.
